Mayor Madmax
Hi, I'm Chris Maxwell, aka MadMax and the "President" of Ojala International - a small company, founded on a big dream. When people first see me they usually ask, "what are you?" So in case from the pic you are wondering I am the son of a Peruvian mother and Native Alaskan father - a genuine American Malamut :). As for this company, I conceived of Ojala in 1999 when I bought Ojala.com. "Ojala" means hope in Spanish, or "hopefully". Since then I have been busy tinkering away in technology and gearing everything I do towards someday fulfilling this dream of mine.
Although I am unorthodox in many regards, I have a great head on my shoulders and can be trusted as a leader of this venture, and as a protective guardian of your private information and the virtual experience you share here. I earned an MBA in International Business and BS in Finance from Bentley University, so I have some kind of know how. More importantly, I am a privacy nut! Professionally, my experience includes entrepreneurial, business counseling, technology consulting, Web application development, and IA/UX experience.
In 1996 I organized Eye of the Storm Productions, a Boston based dance-all-night-to-thumping Techno, House, and Jungle production and event planning company. I have also worked for the Small Business Administration as a minority business counselor specifically targeting and assisting US Hispanic businesses and entrepreneurs; Oracle Corporation as a Financial Applications consultant; and Fidelity Investments as an Information Architect and mobile applications front-end developer. I enjoyed a lot of it, but will always be an entrepreur at heart.
